ach%20%28M%2CN%29%20codoped%20sample%20family%3A%20mild%20nitridation%20induced%20an%20absorption%20increase%20between%20400%20and%20550%20nm%2C%20while%20harsh%20nitridation%20induced%20additional%20absorption%20at%20a%20longer%20wavelength%20%28%3E550%20nm%29.%20Furthermore%2C%20the%20presence%20of%20W%20in%20the%20TiO2%20lattice%20has%20been%20revealed%20to%20be%20more%20favorable%20than%20Nb%20and%20Ta%20to%20promote%20nitrogen%20insertion.%20A%20similar%20charge%20compensation%20mechanism%2C%20involving%20defects%20such%20as%20oxygen%20vacancies%2C%20was%20revealed%20for%20%28Nb%2CN%29%20and%20%28Ta%2CN%29%20codoped%20materials%3A%20low%20defect%20concentrations%20were%20achieved%20by%20the%20mild%20nitridation%2C%20while%20the%20harsh%20nitridation%20created%20a%20large%20amount%20of%20Ti3%2B%20acting%20as%20charge%20recombination%20centers.%20On%20the%20opposite%20end%2C%20the%20defect%20concentration%20for%20%28W%2CN%29%20codoped%20TiO2%20nanoparticles%20remains%20low%20under%20both%20mild%20and%20harsh%20nitridation%20conditions.%20Additionally%2C%20for%20%28W%2CN%29%20codoped%20TiO2%20samples%2C%20W5%2B%20was%20created%20by%20the%20harsh%20nitridation%20condition%20instead%20of%20Ti3%2B%2C%20resulting%20in%20an%20improved%20visible%20light%20photocatalytic%20activity.%22%2C%22date%22%3A%222025%22%2C%22language%22%3A%22English%22%2C%22DOI%22%3A%2210.1021%5C%2Facsanm.5c00206%22%2C%22ISSN%22%3A%222574-0970%22%2C%22url%22%3A%22http%3A%5C%2F%5C%2Fdx.doi.org%5C%2F10.1021%5C%2Facsanm.5c00206%22%2C%22collections%22%3A%5B%226IWM732K%22%2C%22CF4ZI7HM%22%2C%22UCSZHBXJ%22%5D%2C%22dateModified%22%3A%222025-04-16T13%3A28%3A28Z%22%7D%7D%5D%7D
