Currently, Dris Ihiawakrim works as a research engineer in the Surfaces and Interfaces Department of the Institute of Physics and Chemistry of Materials in Strasbourg. He obtained his PhD in physics from the University of Strasbourg, France in 2019. He is in charge of several projects in various fields related to electron microscopy for the characterization of organic, inorganic and biological nanostructured materials. He leads the implementation and development of cryo-TEM and in situ environmental electron microscopy techniques in a liquid medium. His expertise includes the preparation and characterization of fragile samples, biological samples, nanoparticles, mesoporous systems and other nanoscale systems.
