Research Ingineer (M/F) in synthesis and characterisation of organic dyes for use in organic light-emitting diodes

This recruitment is part of a prematuration project aimed at developing new organic dyes for use in organic light-emitting diodes.

The successful candidate will have two main tasks:
1/ to design, synthesise and characterise these molecules
2/ characterise their photophysical properties (in solution and in the solid state).
We are looking for a highly motivated research engineer with a PhD in Chemical Sciences / Molecular Chemistry (or equivalent) and solid experience in organic synthesis and spectroscopy of photo-active systems.
The candidate should be able to work independently in a multidisciplinary environment and have a positive attitude based on curiosity. Very good written and oral communication skills in English are required (B2).

The contract (granted by CNRS Innovation) deals with organic synthesis of dyes that will be used for organic electronic applications (OLEDs will be made in the OSC of StAndrews under the supervision of Prof. J.-C. Ribierre).
